Matthew Bonnin
Great-Great Grandson of Zitkála-Šá
Matthew Bonnin is a teaching artist and theatre director native to Panama City, Florida. He is a great-great grandson of Zitkala-Ša. Matt attended the Experimental Theatre Wing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, along with undergraduate study at Moscow Art Theatre School before graduating with a degree in theatre. After working for several years in New York City as a featured actor in a variety of TV series, films and plays, Matt returned to Panama City to pursue a career in public education, as a Performing Arts and English teacher. Currently, Matt is working with Panama City's Martin Ensemble Theatre to produce new stage adaptations of classic works, such as Herman Melville's Bartleby: The Scrivener.
