The National Women's History Alliance (NWHA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the rich and varied history of women in the United States. Founded in 1980, NWHA has been a pioneer in the movement to recognize and celebrate women's contributions to society, advocating for the inclusion of women's history in educational curricula and public discourse.

Our mission is to empower individuals and communities through the documentation, celebration, and promotion of women's achievements. By providing educational resources, organizing events, and fostering collaborations, we aim to ensure that women's stories are not only preserved but also serve as an inspiration for future generations.

NWHA is proud to have played a crucial role in the establishment of National Women's History Month, which is celebrated every March. Through our ongoing initiatives, we strive to highlight the diverse experiences and achievements of women from all backgrounds, promoting gender equality and social justice.
