India de Beaufort
“Comic dynamo India de Beaufort,” “(de Beaufort) is the highlight here,” “The supporting cast is solid, particularly de Beaufort,” and “On the winning end, we’ve got India De Beaufort as the court’s new prosecutor” are just a few of the accolades NWHM Ambassador India de Beaufort has received for her role as prosecutor Oliva in the NBC series Night Court. The reboot of the popular sitcom premiered on NBC in January 2023 and scored the best TV rating for a comedy premiere since 2018. After two weeks on the air the series was picked up for a second season.
Segueing effortlessly between comedy and drama, India was recently seen alongside Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke in the popular Netflix drama series Firefly Lane. She starred on season six of the critically acclaimed HBO season Veep as Brie Ramachandran, a correspondent for CNN, and received an honorable mention certificate from SAG-AFTRA for her performance in the show. India led the Comedy Central/BBC series Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire and her other television credits include the ABC series Kevin Probably Saves the World, ABC’s Blood and Oil and ABC Family’s comedy-drama Jane by Design, which was set in the New York fashion scene. Additionally, India has had recurring roles on top television series including One Day at a Time, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Younger, NCIS: LA, Chicago P.D., 2 Broke Girls, and One Tree Hill.
In film, India was recently seen in Frances Lawrence’s (Hunger Games) Netflix fantasy feature film Slumberland, alongside Jason Momoa. She worked with Steven Soderbergh on the 2021 feature film Kimi with Zoe Kravitz and starred opposite Simon Pegg in the film Run, Fat Boy, Run, which was directed by David Schwimmer.
India’s voice credits include series regular roles in Netflix/Dreamworks Emmy awards winning animated series All Hail King Julien, Nickelodeon’s It’s Pony and Nickelodeon’s upcoming series Max & the Midknights. Her additional voice credits include an arc in Dreamworks Fast & Furious: SPY RACERS and the role of Arcane Supergirl for DC Studios Infinite Crisis.
India’s talents go beyond the screen. Also a talented singer/songwriter, her single CRACK was released in November 2020. She served as co-writer on the track as well as producer, creative director, editor and stylist for the accompanying video. CRACK was featured on Freeform’s hit series Good Trouble and in the 2021 marketing campaign for the female owned fashion brand SMYTHE’s spring collection. CRACK currently has over half a million plays on Spotify and India’s highly anticipated next single, KARMA, will be released this year.
India studied fashion at Esher College in Surrey and wears many of her own designs on the red carpet. In 2020 she launched a jewelry line, June Riot, which sold out after only 10 minutes of its release. She continues to lean into her design education, having shown her first fashion collection at New York Fashion Week in 2012
