Madame Angélique Gakoko Pitteloud
Angélique Gakoko Pitteloud is a film producer, writer, and a passionate defender of human rights. In her work she strives to create awareness and build advocacy through the creative use of literary works and cinematography. Angélique is the founder of Pro-Human Equality, an advocacy organization that works with various media to highlight success stories that address social justice and societal change. An accomplished producer, her most recent documentary film, L’Afrique des femmes, which she co-produced with the prestigious Swiss filmmaker Mohammed Soudan, was featured in January 2022 at the Solothurn Film Festival in Switzerland. Angélique is the wife of the Swiss Ambassador to the United States of America. Over the years, she has been actively engaged in the mission and work of the diplomatic corps of Switzerland, focusing her fundraising efforts and events on addressing issues related to equality and human rights. She also serves as an advisor to numerous organizations and individuals to promote and facilitate international collaboration. Previously, she worked with the Swiss Red Cross and she has studied in Rwanda, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, most recently at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
